While I’ve really enjoyed the human, social aspect of my job, talking with podcasters all day, the web development itch returned a few weeks ago. I eventually want to learn more HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and TypeScript) to migrate this blog over to something like Lume, but I think it’s still beneficial for me to understand WordPress in a more technical way.
This site’s theme is pretty old, but I love the typography and simplicity. I’ve been tinkering with a child theme and re-added the Aside post type and styled it a bit differently than normal posts. Can you tell I like the notecard and highlighter vibe?
I want to try some mini-projects with Seriously Simple Podcasting or Advanced (or Secure?) Custom Fields too.
Lume looks nice! Not sure I want to migrate away from Hugo though. It’s been a fun ride tweaking the site since migrating from WordPress last year.
Really hoping I can focus on just one static site framework at some point, I started doing an 11ty tutorial and then found Lume like an hour later 😅
WordPress still has its hold on me for the moment 🤷🏻♂️
